Coffee with Mushroom: A Superfood Fusion
The main ingredient in mushroom coffee is a blend of medicinal mushrooms, including lion’s mane, cordyceps, turkey tail, and chaga, which are often dried and ground to make an extract. These mushrooms are said to boost energy and improve mental clarity and focus. They’re also said to be anti-inflammatory, help fight viruses and infections, and reduce stress.
But, the FDA hasn’t approved these mushrooms as supplements, and it’s difficult to know what dosage is safe or not. And if you’re taking medication or have a serious illness, be careful – these mushrooms could interact with those medications.
